About 10 years ago when Jerome Gross taught me to meditate from the start I really tried to focus on making my practice as practical as possible. I believe most of us complicate meditation to much and that inspired me to write this post to help expand what meditation is for you and myself. I believe there is not one way to meditate and we are a lot better when we see that meditation is everywhere. Here are some examples of meditation in different forms and I look forward to you add some for all of us.
Surfing and aligning with the element of water- If you look at most surfers they have a peaceful connection to the earth. One of the things that I discovered when I first started meditating I would go down to the water and connect with the ebb and flow of the waves without even going in.
Watching the sky and birds flying– This experience can really connect you with freedom and this is something that you can do for just 30 seconds and get the benefits immediately. Also you can look up at the sky and watch the clouds move to help you get into the moment.
Sex and Making love- Connecting with your partner can be very spiritual. This experience can help the two of you let go and connect with some intense levels of euphoria.
